Testimonial for Angel Labs, LLC Before I talk about Raphial, let me briefly introduce myself, and how I came to meet him.
I came to US in 1974 after graduating from Seoul National University in Electronics Engineering Dept. I went to Rutgers University to receive my MS and Ph.D degrees in Electrical Engineering. I worked for many companies, including RCA David Sarnoff Research Center and Gould AMI Semiconductor to gain experience in technology, engineering, and first level management. In 1988, I was recruited to join Samsung Electronics in Korea to head a new business unit in semiconductors. In 1994, I was able to be transferred to Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. in San Jose and co-founded a Samsung spinoff company as well as a small venture capital company.
I met Raphial in the year 2000 with an introduction from a high school classmate for investment purposes. The first introduction was to small arms technology, and I was fascinated by the brilliant mind of Raphial. I was able to make small investment followed by medium investment, and finally a $1M investment with the help of long time friend.
In 2001, Raphial and I co-founded Angel Labs, LLC.
Raphial was born in Hawaii but grew up in Philippines before joining the US Navy during the Vietnam war. The way he thinks is radically different from an ordinary person like me. I would say that he is a vertical and analog thinker compared to people who have to depend on a computer for numerical analyses and simulations. We learn and are pretty good in analyzing but we can not invent. Raphial can invent (daily and weekly).Period.
Raphial had accumulated over 100 inventions when we formed Angel Labs, LLC, and he almost invented on a weekly basis. Every one of his inventions is revolutionary, yet simple. At the present, the inventions are mostly mechanical in nature, but in due time, I have no doubt that his inventions will be reaching other areas, including biotechnology.
As I said earlier, I was making good money for myself and for the companies I worked for, but I could never say that my project would help “Mankind” live a better life. Now, every project has deep impact for Mankind, since it can change the way we live and travel.

For example,
Electrical Energy generation: less pollution of the Earth environment helps us live longer, and healthy, in addition to inexpensive electricity. Electricity can be generated with higher efficiency using the MYT Engine (fossil and bio fuel), Hydroelectricity generation (MYT expander), and Geothermal electricity generation (MYT expander).
Safe transportation: MYT Engine makes it possible to design and build automobile, airplane, and ships, etc., light (saving fuel), but with lots of safety. Raphial has designed an airplane with such safety so that even if it malfunctions in midair, the passengers have a much higher chance of survival.
Industrial Revolution: Radical new designs of automobiles and airplanes are now possible and practical due to the massive power to weight ratio of the MYT Engine. These new forms of transportation will bring new excitement to the world and will spawn a new industrial revolution. We will introduce the Angel's Flight Pack (personal flying backpack, and a new personal transportation) and the VTOL (Vertical TakeOff and Landing) Aircraft, in the next few years, not to mention 800 passenger super jumbo jets that are powered by the MYT Engine for safety, fuel savings, etc. We will bring new manufacturing technology that can be used to build airplanes, ships, as well as buildings. As the infrastructures are getting ready, we will introduce the Flying cars. And more…
Since we have so many inventions, and are racing to make sure we get the products to consumers, we have no intention to grab the market share and monopolize it. We want to license our technology to any entities that pay reasonable license fees and royalties. To all the licensees, we desire to be considered as an advanced research laboratory compared to a competitor, because we can bring new products that they can never develop even though they spend ten times more. But since we will not give an exclusive right to anybody, they have to excel in bringing the products to market with efficiency and (less cost). We are trying to provide a level playing field so the licensees can compete fairly, and at the end, everyone, licensees and consumers are the winners.
We will keep our words (promises) to bring excitement to life and help Mankind live better. December, 2005 by Jin Kim (photo on the left)
